As you may know, the USCIS will begin accepting H-1B petitions for the upcoming fiscal year (October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009) beginning on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. We expect that all H-1B cap numbers, including those in the cap for U.S. graduate degree holders, to be taken from filings received on April 1. Therefore, if you need to file an H-1B petition for your employment or for an employee, your petition will have to be sent out on March 31 for receipt on April 1.
